VERA Magagnini

Love, Nena is a jewellery brand created by Vera Magagnini. Originally from Argentina, she worked for many years as a fashion designer while relocating from Buenos Aires to Barcelona to Beijing and finally settling in Amsterdam. In 2019 Vera decided to finally go back to what is one of her strongest passions and part of her family heritage: jewellery.

Her handmade jewellery family heritage goes all the way back to her grandfather. He was living in Italy and migrated to Argentina in the late 30’s, where he met Vera’s grandmother and founded a small atelier of goldsmiths. The crafts and expertise he learned with jewellery through out all his years, he was able to pass onto his children, one of them being Vera’s father. Her father also became a jewellery expert and continued the jewellery family tradition. When the time was right Vera’s brother still living in Buenos Aires worked with their father side by side, continuing with the growth of the jewellery business until today.

When Vera decided to found her own jewellery brand in Amsterdam, it all felt natural and part of an organic path. Proud of her heritage and family bonds, she started with Love, Nena strongly motivated.

She finds her inspiration in nature, beauty in the simple and imperfect abundance that surround us and meaning in her desire to inspire and empower women to embrace their natural beauty and celebrate their uniqueness.

The name Love, Nena is inspired by all the letters that Vera used to send to her mother through out all the years she was living abroad. Love, Nena is how Vera used to sign those letters. Nena means “little girl” in Spanish.
